All about the wedding of Bronagh and Gary who had their reception at the Greenvale Hotel Cookstown 2/6/17 and room decor by Swift Events

Greenvale Hotel Cookstown

I asked Bronagh & Gary why they picked this venue for their wedding reception and they said, “We viewed a variety of venues but the Greenvale hotel checked all our boxes,  excellent food, first class hospitality, close to home and beautiful room decor, tick tick tick!
We were treated so warmly from the moment we first walked in so we knew we were in good hands everything went so smoothly I couldn’t recommend Micky and his team enough!”
They also decided on our suppliers mostly via wedding fayres and also word of mouth and getting useful recommendations from family and friends, using suppliers from their home area and they said it felt good to give business to the local community.
Her recommended suppliers included Dee Graham suits. She explained why, “I had no trouble whatsoever choosing the supplier of our menswear, I didn’t have too far to turn to as I am the proud sister of Dee Graham, the very successful and hard-working tailor who creates his masterpieces in his shop in Dungannon, his keen eye for style and meticulous detail meant our men looked so fresh and happy on the big day! Not being biased I wouldn’t choose anywhere else for a bespoke tailored suit.”
They chose local cake maker Jills Cakes who sketched the cake they had imagined and brought it to life we loved it so much and it tasted amazing!
Ellen Lambert dressmaker in Coalisland designed and made the bridesmaid dress and was very accommodating as Bronagh’s best friend lived in Canada and arrived home 2 weeks before the wedding!
Janice from the Flower Studio in Dungannon was the fabulous florist; she’s both an expert and a perfectionist and her calm approach really helps to cool a brides nerves! Bronagh said, “You feel confident to put your faith in her as she delivers what you want and more! I was blew away with my flowers and the bespoke door entrance pillars really were a show stopper!”
Bronagh’s advice for any brides to be: “It can be very easy to caught up in such a wide variety of opinions and requests and too many voices can be stressful and take the fun out of it, value advice but remember to make your own choice and don’t feel guilty about it! Also don’t sweat the small stuff because it honestly doesn’t matter, I spent ages choosing page boys shoes and on the day they both decided they didn’t want to wear them and walked up the aisle wearing converse – they were happy and no one noticed so win win! Don’t fret over small details it’s not worth it just enjoy it all because it’s a great experience from start to finish!
There’s nothing I would change, and nothing I would leave out, having everyone you love under one single roof is just magical, what more could you want!
Special touches: In lieu of favours me and my hubby donated money to the Down Syndrome Association in Belfast who provided us with lovely cards on each table and a beautiful pin badge for everyone! This is a cause very close to my heart as my brother has Downs Syndrome I love him to the moon and back and honestly wouldn’t change him for the world so it was a small token from us for the big amount of happiness he brings to our lives!”
Other personalisation included:
Bronagh’s room decor consisted of white and silver theming with pretty sequins, romantic candles, and fairylights to create a timeless look to compliment her style and venue
Bronagh was over the moon with her room decor and her reaction was captured by her photographer
Thank you Bronagh and Gary for supplying your lovely photos to help and advise other brides – Sinead x
